Abstract

Implant related complications and disease are common and difficult to manage. This course seeks to provide a comprehensive summary on how to identify and manage the multifactorial peri-implant disease risk factors and how interdisciplinary collaboration can improve diagnosis, treatment planning, and the long-term health and success of dental implants.

Presenter Qualifications:

Dr. Kallie Krueger is a second-year periodontology resident at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Dentistry and a graduate of A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health(ATSU-ASDOH). Dr. Krueger is dedicated to advancing patient outcomes through education and evidence-based periodontal therapy. She is passionate about individualized, patient-centered care and values an interdisciplinary approach to treatment.  In 2024, she was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the national dental honor society, recognizing her commitment to academic excellence and leadership in dentistry. After completing her residency, she plans to practice periodontics in the Metro Detroit area.
