Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss key diagnostic considerations for SFOT, including CBCT imaging, periodontal phenotype assessment, and digital treatment planning.
  • Identify appropriate indications and surgical approaches for SFOT in patients with moderate to severe malocclusion and dentoalveolar limitations.
  • ​Evaluate the role of hard- and soft-tissue augmentation in improving periodontal phenotype, expanding the envelope of tooth movement, and enhancing long-term treatment stability.

Presenter Qualifications:

Priscilla G. Sosa, is a board-eligible periodontist practicing in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) School of Dental Medicine and completed her specialty training and Master of Science in Periodontology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Her clinical interests include periodontal regeneration, implant therapy, mucogingival surgery, and interdisciplinary treatment planning involving orthodontics. Dr. Sosa is passionate about evidence-based patient care, education, and advancing collaborative approaches that optimize both functional and esthetic outcomes.
